This course will examine the rhetoric of race in Americansociety. Issues discussed in the course will range from: thecreation and continuation of racial disparity in America, thedebate over reparations for slavery, the permanence of racism insociety, the role of race in the most recent presidentialelections, and the impact of race on popular culture.
