Serve-NH

Education Award

The SERVE-NH program is an Education Award only AmeriCorps program. Students enroll in the program and complete 300 hours of community service for a one-year period, resulting in a $1,000 Educational Award. The education award can be used to pay education costs at qualified institutions of higher education or training, or to repay qualified student loans.

The SERVE New Hampshire / Maine AmeriCorps program seeks to meet the following objectives:

  • To engage AmeriCorps members in direct community service that meets locally identified community needs.
  • To increase the leadership skills and civic knowledge of AmeriCorps members.
  • To engage AmeriCorps members in recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • To facilitate the development of new campus community partnerships and the strengthening of existing ones.
