Academic pages

Department, instructional, and faculty web pages.

Academic Web Developer

IT staff member who supports faculty in web use, including development of instructional pages. (Jenny Darrow)

Administrative pages

Web pages used to conduct College business, display official information, and provide services to students. All College pages are considered administrative except department pages, individual pages, and instructional pages.

Department pages

Sites developed and maintained by academic departments to expand on information in the program page.

Individual pages

Sites developed and maintained by faculty members, students, and staff for unofficial use.

Instructional pages

Sites developed for use in specific academic courses.

Marketing pages

Sites whose primary audience is external and whose purpose is to recruit students and cultivate alumni and other supporters. Marketing pages are coordinated by CRO.

Page editors

Faculty or staff members in academic departments or administrative offices appointed to maintain their respective sites.

Program page

Standard page maintained by CRO for each academic program, with a description of the program and other information, including, where applicable, a link to the respective department page.

Web editor

CRO professional staff member charged with editing and oversight of marketing pages and with web policy development. (Michael Matros)

Webmaster

CRO professional staff member with the lead role in maintaining marketing pages and coordinating administrative sites. (Michael Caulfield)

Web Strategy Team

Appointed by the president, this group is the primary advising body on web issues to the Principal Administrators, the Office of College Relations, and IT directors, helping direct the growth of the KSC web site, advocating for resources where necessary, and developing College web policy.

Web page

A single web document with its own URL/web address.

Web site

A collection of web-related pages sponsored by a single office, department, organization, or individual.
