Approximately 71 percent of our students receive financial assistance of some kind.

Each year, Keene State College commits a considerable amount of its own resources to supplement federal and state aid programs. Some of this aid is specifically for first-year students.

First-Year Student Scholarships are available to certain students based on academic performance. Awards are determined from a review of the admissions application; students do not need to fill out a separate application. Please note that Admissions recalculates GPA for all awards.

Scholarships are also provided to students with exceptional performing, artistic, or other academic talent. Recipients are selected by faculty committees within the Arts and Humanities (for theatre and music students, based on auditions, and art students, based on portfolios), Sciences and Social Sciences, and Professional Studies Schools.

Financial assistance includes scholarships, loans, and the College's Work-Study Program. Students take jobs in campus offices, in residence halls, on the grounds, and with the recreational sports department. If you are eligible for work-study employment, you'll attend a job fair to apply for a position.
