At the beginning of the summer, students are presented with several options for excursions. Once the groups have been determined, students meet and plan their trips. Excursions last three days and two nights. Students plan itineraries for each day, arrange to visit at least one college campus, create meal plans, and budget for all of the above. Students often ask local businesses for donations to aid in keeping trips affordable. Staff step back, observe and support to give students maximum opportunity for leadership and initiative.
