Mr. Bartlomiej K. Sapeta AIA, NCARB

Assistant Professor
Technology, Design and Safety
TDS Center 222 • M-1901

Mr. Sapeta is a broadly experienced architect with passion for teaching, eye for good design and sound detailing, and practical knowledge of sustainability. Over the last 14 years he worked with numerous boards and building committees as well as private clients. He is a strong believer in collaboration and integrated systems approach to solving design problems. Practicing those beliefs led to multiple projects that were recognized by clients and various peer organizations.

Prior to his teaching appointment at the Keene State College he worked at the Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University in Missouri, where he taught courses ranging from Foundations of Design to Senior Design Studios.

His knowledge is best utilized in courses that allow for broad exploration and experiential learning rooted in Buckminster Fuller’s synergetic design approach and supported by BIM technology. He strongly believes in individualism and independent thinking as the ultimate results of education.

“During my architectural journey spanning almost a quarter of a century I acquired knowledge and skills, experienced personal growth, relied on my intuition when making choices and tested alternatives with logical reasoning. My approach to education in part reflects the adaptive reuse design: it is built on strong foundations but flexible to adapt to new and unexpected situations.”
