Dr. Stephen Bismarck

Dr. Bismarck has been at Keene State College since 2009. Dr. Bismarck teaches both secondary mathematics methods courses (EDUC 331 & 431), secondary mathematics student teaching (EDUC 400), as well as mathematics courses. Prior to coming to KSC, Dr. Bismarck was a classroom mathematics teacher, teaching mathematics at both a middle school (Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, Florida) and at a high school (Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia). He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia, as well as a Masters degree in Education and a Bachelors degree in applied mathematics from Coastal Carolina University.

Dr. Bismarck's areas of interest include: appropriate use of technology in the mathematics classroom, mathematical knowledge for teaching, and professional development for in-service teachers.
