Online Grading Information

Beginning Fall 2007 Keene State College faculty must submit grades online using their WebAdvisor account.

Contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@keene.edu or 603-358-2532 if you need a password reset or an account created.

Online Grading Procedure

  1. Access your WebAdvisor account by pointing your browser to either:
  2. Login to WebAdvisor
    • Click the Faculty box.
    • Click the Log In box to launch the login process.
  3. Select the link titled Grading.
  4. Select the term to grade (e.g., Summer 1, Summer 2, Summer Full).
  5. Select the Final Grade option.
  6. Select the Course Section.
    • Click in the box to the left of the section to be graded.
    • Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
  7. Record grades in column labeled Grade. Ignore Expire Date column.
  8. Click Submit to transmit grades to the student information system.

Grading Key

  • Eligible grades include: A, AB, B, BC, C, CD, D, F, P, NP, AU, I, IP and W.
  • P = Pass. Allowed only for courses approved as Pass/No Pass graded courses.
  • NP = No Pass. Allowed only for courses approved as Pass/No Pass graded courses.
  • AU = Audit. Use for students approved to audit a course.
  • I = Incomplete. Requires submission of a Grade of Incomplete form to the Registrar's Office.
  • IP = In Progress. For dean-approved IP courses only.
  • W = Withdrawn. Most common example is "registered but did not attend".

Grading Procedure

  • Online grading will be made available to faculty during designated time periods at the conclusion of each term. You may return to a particular section roster during this period to complete grading of that section, or you can recall a submitted section's grades and change a grade.
  • Each grade submitted in accordance with College policy that is submitted online will be recorded in the student's official academic record. Printing and retaining a screen print of grades prior to clicking Submit is recommended.
  • You may verify that grades were received by the Registrar's Office by logging out of WebAdvisor, logging back in and returning to your graded section. If you see your original grade entries the system has recorded them.
  • Do not submit hardcopy grade rosters to the Registrar's Office for sections graded online.
  • A grade should be submitted for each student on your section roster.
  • Students should not be allowed to complete a semester in a course without being registered. If this has occurred you will not be able to submit a grade online for this individual student. Inform the student that he or she must register for the class and pay the late add fee at the Registrar's Office. The instructor will receive a notice from the Registrar's Office that he/she should complete and submit a Special Grade Report form.
