Phantom Limb Company presents
69° South: The Shackleton Project
Info:
Nearly 100 years after the legendary explorer Ernest Shackleton embarked on his iconic expedition to Antarctica, the miraculously talented performers of Phantom Limb Company bring this gripping tale back to life in a strange and beautiful form. Drawing inspiration from Phantom Limb’s recent Antarctic voyage, 69° South recounts the Shackleton saga in an eerie new work that blends puppetry, performance, visual art, and film. Featuring a haunting score by the Kronos Quartet, the show conjures up an unforgettable world of ice and darkness, where the only force stronger than the elements is the endurance of the human spirit.
