KEENE, NH, July 13, 2011: Keene State College's (KSC) Continuing Education and Extended Studies Division announces opportunities for professional development this fall. Keene State offers classes on an array of topics in different formats. Undergraduate courses in more than 40 subjects are taught on campus during the day and evening. Other classes combine in-class and online learning for a blended educational experience.

Education professionals can earn graduate credit to begin a master's or post-master's program or make progress toward recertification. Some courses feature online and CD-based learning.

Several credit and noncredit certificates of study are available for professional advancement. Certificate programs such as Website Design and Paralegal Studies are led by college faculty and leaders in the business, industrial, and professional communities. The programs can be completed on a part-time basis, with practical requirements that are relevant to each profession.

Hazard-prevention, general industry, and construction training is available through the College's Safety Center or the OSHA Training Institute Education Center in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Safety and health professionals are offered the Graduate Certificate in Safety and Health Management. This program is an introduction to the master's degree - all 16 credits are transferable to Keene State's MS degree in Safety and Occupational Health Applied Science.

Noncredit, online courses begin each month and run for six weeks. Courses are project-oriented and designed to be completed entirely from your home or office at any time. You have a choice of courses in 65 different areas, with most costing $99.

Keene State's distance-learning certificate programs, with ongoing start dates, can be completed in six months and provide the skills necessary to enter a new field or advance a current career. Financing is available for the more than 100 online programs.

Fall registration runs now through August 26 with classes beginning August 29. For more information about the professional development opportunities at Keene State College, call Dorianne Almann, Continuing Education Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator, at 800-KSC-1909 or 603-358-2290 or visit http://www.keene.edu/conted.
