Keene State's Safety Center Offers Online Construction Safety Course
KEENE, N.H. 1/3/05 - The Keene State College Safety Center, in partnership with ClickSafety.com, Inc., now offers online the Ten-Hour Outreach Course in OSHA's Construction Safety and Health Standards.
The online Ten-Hour Outreach Course in OSHA's Construction Safety and Health Standards (NCSH 310) is a rich-media learning platform, which provides frequent short quizzes to ensure comprehension. The online course is self-paced but must be completed within six months. Topics covered include an introduction to OSHA, control of electrical hazards, fall protection, materials handling, cranes and rigging, scaffolds, excavations, stairs and ladders, confined-space entry, power tools, and fire protection. This online course is ideal for small employers, as a refresher course on the construction standards, or for individuals who need to promptly obtain their 10-hour construction outreach card for employment purposes.
After successfully completing the course, participants receive an OSHA Construction Safety and Health 10-Hour Outreach course completion card. Participants also earn 1.6 continuing education units. The online course costs $100.
