![]() Keene State Inaugural
When the Chancellor of the University System of New Hampshire announced on April 25, 2005, that Dr. Helen F. Giles-Gee had accepted the post of president of Keene State College, the College community knew that a determined administrator, serious scholar, and visionary educator would be leading the school. Dr. Giles-Gee succeeded Dr. Stanley Yarosewick, who retired after serving for 11 years as the College president and overseeing the expansion of the campus and its academic facilities. Dr. Giles-Gee arrived here July 1, and immediately made her mark as an involved, interested, warm, and perceptive leader. Her strong sense of community and citizenship and her ideas for enhancing the performance and reputation of Keene State have impressed and motivated the College and the wider community. For her inauguration, slated for Friday, April 28, 2006, Dr. Giles-Gee has chosen this theme: "Creating a World of Possibilities." The induction ceremony will take place mid-afternoon, followed by a reception and an evening event. For a complete schedule of inauguration activities and other information, please check here for details as the date gets closer. |
