Physical Plant
The Physical Plant Department provides facility, grounds, and construction services to the Keene State College campus. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, beautiful, and functional place to learn and work.
In addition to performing all grounds and building functions, we plan minor and major renovation projects on all Keene State properties, including Owl Stadium (south of Route 101), and the College Camp on Wilson Pond.
We employ 35 full-time employees, many of whom are considered leaders in their field of expertise. The Physical Plant also employs part-time and ancillary workers including KSC students and is responsible for managing the contract for custodial services with UNICCO.
Administrative offices, skilled trade departments, central stores, and receiving are located on the ground level of Elliot Hall. The Grounds Department is headquartered at the Whitcomb Building. Plumbers are headquartered at the central heating plant.
