2008 Outstanding Women of New Hampshire Awards

Each March, as part of the campus celebration of Women's History Month, Keene State College recognizes women who have made outstanding contributions to the campus, the community, and the State of New Hampshire. Awards are given to women in four categories: an outstanding KSC student, a member of the KSC faculty or staff (excluding current commission members), a woman from the Monadnock region, and an individual whose contributions have made a difference at the state level.

The national theme for the 2008 National Women's History Month is Women's Art: Women's Vision. We are looking to honor women who contribute to the support and advancement of women. Their contributions might include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Volunteer/community work
  • Leadership positions
  • Support for the goals and interests of women in the community
  • Role model/mentor for others
  • Organizer of campus or community events
  • Voicing women's concerns on campus or in the community
  • Working to expand the vision of equality for women

The nomination form is available at www.keene.edu/pcsw/nominationform.cfm. Once complete, nominations may be sent by e-mail to jhearn@keene.edu or through US or Campus Mail to Jeanne Hearn, President's Office, Keene State College, 229 Main Street, Keene NH 03435-1504. All nominations must be received by Friday February 8, 2008.
