Parents of students at Keene State College, like you, from many states and different walks of life, comprise the membership of the KSCPA. Some parents take a more active role in the organization by serving on a committee or becoming a member of the executive board. Many members live far from Keene, but there are other ways in which parents could help. One could make telephone calls or send e-mails during membership drives, assist in finding jobs or serving as career mentor, provide a room for a senior on his or her way to an interview, or organize a fund-raising event in your area.
The KSC Alumni and Parent Relations office and Parents Association work to promote closer relationships and understanding between parents and the college community through many program and informational offerings. Programs include Parent/Family Weekend, regional events and a broad range of informational resources. Parents will also receive informative publications such as our quarterly KSC Today magazine and twice-yearly parent and family newsletters. All undergraduate parents and guardians are automatically members of the Parents Association.
This $25.00 fee will appear in the fall 2011 tuition bills and is non mandatory. Parents/Guardians who wish to omit themselves from receiving these services may inform us by September 2, 2011. Failure to opt out by this date will automatically result in this fee remaining on your student's tuition bill.
If you have any questions, or would like additional information about the plans we have, please feel free to contact the Alumni & Parent Relations office at 603-358-2369 or e-mail us at parents@keene.edu.
