| Will you be an Advocate for KSC? | ||
It’s easy…and necessary! In the current budget cycle, the New Hampshire legislature reduced its support to higher education by 49 percent. Keene State College, along with its colleague institutions, the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, and Granite State College, has actively sought out every opportunity to minimize the impact of this decision on our students and their families. On September 11, the Board of Trustees of the University System of New Hampshire voted unanimously to adopt a motion requesting that the New Hampshire legislature restore the appropriation to the state’s institutions of higher education to the 2011 level. To further the positive impact of restoring the 2011 budget, New Hampshire’s institutions of higher education have offered to freeze in-state tuition for the next two years. USNH has launched an advocacy campaign that asks us to reach out to our alumni, the parents of our in-state students, our business partners, legislators, and friends of the college. Our goal is to create advocates for Keene State College who feel as passionately about the accessibility of higher education as we do. This is our motto -- Higher Education Works for New Hampshire: Keene State College

Here’s what you can do to send a message to the state’s legislators that higher education works for New Hampshire.
