A Vermicomposting Geographic Curriculum

What is it?
An exciting new core curriculum for grades 1-6. By maintaining a composting bin in the classroom, teachers can participate in an innovative program that helps students learn about our environment, while allowing teachers to meet national curriculum standards in geography, math, language arts and science. Using fun hands-on activities, students learn about the vital importance of practicing stewardship of our natural resources.

How is it structured? This complete curriculum is in two grade sets: 1-3 and 4-6. The video (“Learning From Worms”) is included in this package, and provides examples of working with the curriculum in classrooms. It shows how simple the program is, as well.
