Objective/Purpose:
- to create an awareness of the weather and how it affects recess

Materials: paper, pencils

Procedure: Option I
1. Record the daily weather for a couple of weeks at recess time.
2. Create a bar graph of sunny days, cloudy days, etc.
3. Talk about how the weather affects recess.
Option II
1. Record the daily weather for a couple of weeks at recess time.
2. Create a bar graph of sunny days, cloudy days, etc.
3. Talk about how the weather affects recess.
4. Have students make two other forms of graphs using the same informaiton.
5. Create lists of options for recess activities on rainy days and not rainy days.

Evaluation/Assessment:
Completion of the bar graph.
