1. Make a list of nationalities and research a food,
sport, language, festival, costume or music associated
with each one.
1. Have students conduct research by interviewing family
members and adult friends what characteristics they
think of when they hear .............(group name).
2. Have them share their findings.
3. What discoveries did they make?
What characteristics are associated with the class and
the school?
Reflection: How successful was this lesson? Did all
students benefit? Were there any surprises? What
might you do differently another time? Please note
any changes that will make this lesson more effective
and useful in the future and pass them along to the
