Keene State Fraternities and Sororities Receive National Recognition

From Brandon Mathieu, coordinator of fraternity and sorority life and student leadership:

Four out of eight of our chapters attended their national organization’s annual business meeting last month, and each chapter came back to Keene State with recognition from their national organization.

  • Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity: Six active brothers and one alumnus of the Zeta Xi (Keene State) chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity attended their Grand Chapter meeting in Norfolk, Virginia, in July ’16, and were awarded the Phi Pi Phi Silver Cup – awarded to a collegiate chapter for achieving significant recognition in all areas of the organization’s 2015-16 annual report.
  • Sigma Pi Fraternity: One active brother and one alumnus of the Iota Rho (Keene State) chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity International attended the organization’s 53rd Biennial Convocation in Las Vegas, Nevada, in July ’16 and were awarded the Membership Increase Award for being in the top 5 chapters for membership increase during the 2015-16 academic year.
  • Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity: Four active brothers and one alumnus of the Rho (Keene State) chapter of Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity attended their annual National Convention in Little Rock, AR in July ’16, and received the 2015-16 Chapter Excellence Award and the 2015-16 Academic Excellence Award.
  • Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority: Two active sisters of the Phi Psi (Keene State) chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority attended their Centennial Convention in Philadelphia, PA in July 2016, and received the Outstanding Chapter Hospitality Award recognizing the chapter’s strong hospitable efforts while hosting an IHQ staff member during their visit to campus during the Fall 2015 semester.
