CDC hosts The Honey-Nooners' Concert Debut

From Amanda Guthorn, Campus Safety (and Honey-Nooner):

Once a week, a group of faculty and staff use their lunchtime to sing and play music together. On Thursday, the group, who have dubbed themselves The Honey-Nooners, made their concert debut singing for and with the children of the Child Development Center on the playground. The event featured hits such as, “The Wheels on the Bus,” “Miss Mary Mack,” and “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad,” in addition to their big closing number, Bob Marley’s “One Love.” The loosely organized “band” of faculty and staff members with guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, voices, and even a purple dulcimer spend their time together as a break from the demands of the workday. Participation is open and dynamic depending on schedules and commitments. Those participating this Spring include Ellen Edge, Glenn Geiser-Getz, Susan Goding, Katie Featherston, Kate McGrath, Kathleen Maceda, Tom Bassarear, Matt Schmidt, Brian Quigley, and Amanda Guthorn.
