Another Call for Pickleball

From Dan Patterson:

Now that all the faculty and staff are back on campus, I would like to put another notice in Campus News that I am trying to get a group together to play Pickleball. For those who are not familiar, it is played on half a tennis court and was designed for those of us in the “advancing age” brackets to be both fun exercise and not as strenuous as tennis or racquetball. It is one of the fastest-growing sports in the US and you can learn more by simply googling it. I have extra racquets and a supply of pickleballs (glorified wiffle balls) and a knowledge of the rules. We could play in the mornings on the college tennis courts until the weather turns on us. The game is usually played in a doubles format so you need four people for one game. We started a group with four in Brattleboro which has now grown to over twenty, but that’s a long drive for me to play, and I’d really like to get some folks interested here at KSC.

Please email at dpatters@keene.edu or call at ext. 82198. My window is going to be MWF at 8 or 9 a.m. We could also try to get something going in the afternoon if that’s better for people. Say 4:30 p.m.?
