Lisa has worked with students with disabilities for the past 20 years. Prior to this position, Lisa worked as Assistant Director/Director for TRIO Student Support Services at Fitchburg State University, providing services and support to low-income, first generation college students and students with disabilities. She has worked as a Special Education Teacher for elementary and middle school students with language-based learning disabilities, providing direct instruction in reading and writing and continues to keep abreast of best practices in the K-12 system with a keen interest in college and career readiness initiatives.
Her professional interests include the transition from high school to college for students with disabilities, the unique challenges of transition and support for college students on the autism spectrum, universal design for instruction and the role of assistive technology in supporting student learning and independence.
Lisa also serves as a Staff advisor for Keene State College’s chapter of Eye to Eye; a national mentoring program that pairs college students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD with similarly labeled elementary and middle school students. She is also a member of the Keene State College Campus Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness Lisa is married with two daughters and enjoys spending her free time in Maine at her summer home in Wells with family and friends.
Lisa David has a Bachelor of Science in Education/Special Education and a Masters of Education in Special Education.
