Online Communications Office
The Online Communications Office provides strategic assistance and technical know-how to the Advancement Division and the University as a whole.
Some of the initiatives we’ve launched over the last six months include:
- An online social site for alumni, Keene and After
- An off-campus housing application
- An online version of Campus News that is RSS-friendly
- The new Centennial Photo Blog
- A redesigned Keene State Today, with comment feedback capability
- An alumni services portal
- An online giving account
- A campus intranet project (currently in planning stages)
- A school specific site — the A & H site
- A new, more open, events submission process
- Dorm-specific blogs
- A pilot project to use online video for marketing and publicity
- The KSC-TV site
- Redesigned, simplified Residential Life pages, along with a Director recruiting tool
- An ITW class which used blogs and social networking software in place of Blackboard
- A NEASC document-sharing proposal
- Professional weblogs for staff and offices
- Weekly media and publicity coordination meetings
- The Online Communications Blog, where we communicate some odds and ends of stuff we’re doing
- Failover server plan for crisis communication
- The Media Relations site and KeeneFeed, which we use to promote stories to third parties and to supplement print coverage
