Keene State College is proud to join schools throughout the United States in celebrating International Education Week from mid-November every year. International Education Week began in 1999 as a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to raise awareness about of the significance of global education and world cultures, and Keene State has held various events and activities during International Education Week for several years.

In 2009 speaker Dr. David Adams came to campus to speak about the Culture of Peace movement and the role of education. For more information on International Education Week, see www.iew.state.gov
