Financing Study Away

Some students may think that they cannot afford to study away while in reality there are numerous study away options where the tuition costs are the same as in-state tuition at KSC. This is true of the National Student Exchange programs as well as most of the direct exchanges KSC has with international universities in Ecuador, England, France, Ireland, Japan, and Poland. The approved list of semester programs (above) indicates the approximate costs of the program for in-state and out-of-state students.
Also, financial aid that you receive at KSC can be used when participating in semester and, in some cases, summer study away programs. The Financial Aid office is available to help you figure out what financial aid options are possible given the study away program you are considering.
There are also some specific scholarships for study away that you can apply for. Some of these are offered by the sponsoring program, a few are awarded through the KSC financial aid office, and others are via national competitions.
