Giving Tuesday is nationally recognized as the Tuesday after Thanksgiving following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year it fell on December 3.

The Annual Giving team’s original goal on Giving Tuesday was to collect 100 donations of any amount, to any designation. When that happened, President Anne Huot offered to donate an additional $1,000 to support KSC students. At about 3 p.m. on December 3, we had already exceeded 100 donors (to put things in perspective, we average about 13 donations a day) and reached out to President Huot to let her know the exciting news.

She then told us she was pleased to offer an additional $500 if we could add 50 more donations for a total of 150 donations. You helped us exceed the second goal! Our Phonathon team solidified our success by obtaining 33 donations on credit cards. Thank you for answering our calls. We wrapped up Giving Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with a total of 164 donations. President Huot will be writing a check of $1,500 to the KSC Fund.

Keene State College students truly appreciate the support we received from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the College. Your donations allow our students to achieve their goals and go forth to serve.
