Dr. Melinda Treadwell to Serve as Interim President
Antioch University New England provost and CEO to return to Keene State.
The University System Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Dr. Melinda Treadwell, the current Provost and CEO at Antioch University New England, has been selected to serve as Interim President of Keene State College. Dr. Treadwell will be working with Chancellor Todd Leach and the USNH Board of Trustees to advance the college during this transition period.
This will mark a return to Keene State College for Dr. Treadwell, who has previously served in a number of roles at KSC, most recently as an Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. She was also a tenured faculty member and led the Professional and Graduate Studies program at Keene.
“I am proud and pleased to be returning to Keene State College,” stated Dr. Treadwell. “This is an institution that offers so much to the students and the community and I am excited about the opportunities that exist here. I look forward to working with the board of trustees, Chancellor Leach and faculty and staff at Keene to build community, maximize the school’s efficiencies and make it the best institution that it can be.”
“Dr. Treadwell has a track record of success,” stated USNH Board of Trustees Chairman, John Small. “She has previously served in a variety of important roles at Keene and is also a Keene alumna. We are pleased that she has accepted the position of Interim President, working closely with the Chancellor in these challenging times for higher education.”

I am pleased to be working with Dr. Treadwell, who will be helping us to provide Keene with the support it needs to successfully fulfill its mission.”
Dr. Treadwell will assume the role of Interim President starting on July 31st, 2017, and continue until a permanent President has been named.
