The awards keep coming in for Keene State College junior forward Sami Smith. Already the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and an NFHCA All-Region award winner, Smith added yet another moniker—All-American.

Smith was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America Third Team. Becoming the 14th All-American in KSC history, Smith is the first player to do it as a junior since Erin Dallas in 2008.

Smith’s 2015 season was one of the best statistical years in school history, finishing the year with 25 goals and six assists for 56 points. The 25 goals are the fifth highest single season total, while she has also moved into the top ten in KSC’s career record book in both goals and points.

With Smith at the forefront of the Owl offense, Keene State won their third straight Little East Conference tournament championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
