Keene State College Names Rod Miller as Associate Vice President for Constituent Relations

Miller Brings 28 Years of Leadership Experience in Fundraising, and Alumni and Community Relations

Keene State College announces Rod Miller as associate vice president for constituent relations. Miller brings more than 28 years of experience in higher education, leading large-scale fundraising campaigns and strengthening alumni, community and corporate relationships with academic institutions. In his role at Keene State, Miller will lead a college-wide effort to further increase philanthropic funding leading up to a major fundraising campaign to benefit the College’s programs, faculty and students. Before joining Keene, Miller served as chief strategy officer at Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics. He begins his position as associate vice president for constituent relations at Keene State College on July 1, 2015.

His expertise and enthusiasm are exactly what the College needs as we continue to build support from our alumni and friends and make strides in reaching significant fundraising goals, including a major campaign that will benefit our students for years to come. We are grateful to the USNH Trustees for their financial support for Rod’s position. The work that Rod will undertake is incredibly important to the future of the College and our students,” said Keene State College Vice President for Advancement, Maryann Lindberg.

Miller has spearheaded institution-wide initiatives that increased funding and community engagement by refocusing fundraising, leading comprehensive fundraising campaigns and working closely with faculty. He has fostered ongoing relationships with alumni, parents and corporate partners. He currently serves on the advisory board for Philanthropy Leadership Advancement Nexus and has been speaker and author of many industry webinars and publications.

“Keene State is an incredible institution, and it is my privilege to serve the campus community and the College’s constituents. I am looking forward to expanding on the successes within the Advancement Division, by helping to extend the dedicated networks of folks who support the College. We have wonderful goals to accomplish for the benefit of students, faculty and the Keene community and I greatly welcome the opportunities and challenges that will come our way,” said Miller.

Miller earned a bachelor of arts with honors in English language and literature, including course emphases in communication, medieval languages and literature, law and government and a master of arts in English from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
