Keene State College Students Perform Music and Dance, Present Panel Discussions and Research During Academic Excellence Conference

Public Invited to Attend 15th Annual Conference Featuring Variety of Topics

Keene State College will host its 15th Annual Academic Excellence Conference, which will include dance and music performances, panel discussions and research presentations. The event is free and open to the public. Student research findings and panels cover a range of topics, from health impacts of biodiesel, to the relationship between a child’s socioeconomic status and their health as an adult. This event brings together student scholars and their families, faculty and staff mentors, other members of the Keene State community, area legislators, system trustees, and members of the Keene community in celebration of academic research and other forms of scholarship.

“Anyone who comes by the conference will be entertained, and leave learning something new,” said Dr. Shari Bemis, interim associate provost for academic affairs at Keene State College. “There is a wide variety of topics being demonstrated and discussed during the event; most everyone will find something of great interest whether they enjoy mathematics, philosophy, the sciences or the arts.”

When: Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Where: Lloyd P. Young Student Center and David F. Putnam Science Center, Keene State College

The Academic Excellence Conference is sponsored by the Associate Provost’s Office, Lloyd P. Young Student Center, Keene State College Student Assembly, Office of the President, Office of Advancement, and Keene State College Parent’s Association.
