KSC Swimming Competes At NCAA Championships

Owls Bring Back Six All-America Awards

The Keene State College swim team brought back six All-America awards at the NCAA Division III Championships at the Conroe Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas, over Spring Break.

Junior Shahar Resman picked up individual All-American awards in the 500 freestyle, where he finished fourth in 4:24.68, and in the 1,650 freestyle, where he was third in 15:14.63.

Resman also teamed up with freshman Christopher DiGiacomo, sophomore Ryan Boraski, and junior Cole Hogg to earn All-America honors in the 800 freestyle relay, placing seventh in 6:38.60. Hogg and Resman added additional Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200 freestyle; Hogg was ninth in 1:38:90, and Resman was 10th in 1:38.95.

The Owls’ lone female representative, junior Alison Bartlett, placed third in the 50 freestyle in 23:04, becoming KSC’s first female All-American in swimming since 2011.

Despite having just four male swimmers at the meet, Keene State placed 16th out of 52 teams. On the women’s side, Keene State finished 33rd out of 45 teams.
