Keene State College Hosts Undergraduate Research Conference Drawing Participation from Seven Additional Colleges

Event Highlights Student Presentations

This weekend, Keene State College will host the prestigious Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Northeast Regional Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Activity Conference. The event is open to the public on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The conference will feature presentations, performances, posters and art from 100 students representing Keene State College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Mansfield University, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Ramapo College of New Jersey, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, State University of New York at Geneseo and University of Maine at Farmington. A total of 17 Keene State College students will participate, featuring sculpture pieces, and a broad array of research projects that include a look at sustainable architecture for Rwanda, an analysis of ideologies portrayed during Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke’s 2013 Music Video Award performance of “We Can’t Stop”, a project that collects and analyzes student wellness data and much more.
