Keene State College Senior Honored for Outstanding Employment Accomplishments
Matthew Foster Recognized Statewide and by Keene State
Keene, NH, April 12, 2012: Keene State College proudly announces the winner of two awards for outstanding achievement in student employment. Matthew Foster, a senior at Keene State College majoring in Safety Studies, was selected by the North East Association of Student Employee Administrators (NEASEA) as Student Employee of the Year for the State of New Hampshire. He was also chosen as the Keene State College Student Employee of the Year. Matthew is the Student Manager at the Night Owl, a multipurpose dining and entertainment facility in the Student Center on Keene State’s campus.
“Matt is well respected by the Student Center professional staff and student employees. His supervisory skills, professionalism, preparedness and knowledge are just a few of the things that make him outstanding in every aspect of his job,” said Gino Vallante, Keene State College Student Center Programs Coordinator, and Matthew’s supervisor. “Matt’s maturity, leadership skills and ability to be a thoughtful and effective teacher and role model for other employees are some of his most ideal characteristics. I will never replace him; I can only hope to find a way to manage without him.”
To recognize his accomplishments, today, Keene State College President Helen Giles-Gee presented Matthew Foster with a trophy award from Keene State College and a plaque from NEASEA, as well as a check for $100.
