Faculty Enrichment Day

During Faculty and Staff Enrichment Weeks, the Faculty Enrichment unit is organizing a one-day mini-conference that will allow faculty to consider, discuss and engage in innovative teaching practices together. There will be eight interactive sessions (75 minutes each) designed and led by KSC faculty teams from a range of disciplines. Morning sessions will be repeated in the afternoon, giving everyone plenty of opportunity to participate.

Morning Sessions: 9-10:15 am 1. Supporting Student Writers - Led by Kate Tirabassi and Mark Long (Science Center 127) 2. 10:30-11:45 am 1. Defining Authority: Teaching Information Literacy in Disciplinary Context - Team led by the Library Faculty (Library 104) 2. Understanding the 1st Generation Student Experience - Led by Chitra Akkoor (Science Center 175) 3. How to Live Wisely: Asking Our Students, Asking Ourselves - Led by Ellen Nuffer, Ockle Johnson and Kim Bohannon (Science Center 181) 4. Intercultural Competence: Exploring Your Complex Identity First - Led by Dottie Morris (Science Center 275)
