Keene is Reading Book Club: Trace: Memory, History, Race and the American Land

Young Student Center - Atrium Conference Room
Friday, · -

Our spring book selection is Lauret Savoy's Trace: Memory, History, Race, and the American Landscape. Trace is the winner of the American Book Award, and a finalist for the PEN American Open Book Award and the Phillis Wheatley Book Award. Trace brings together memoir, history, environmental studies, and geology as Savoy examines different paths of migration across the country.

Lunchtime reading groups: Feb. 17 (pages 49-114), and March 31(pages 115-186). Reading discussions will take place in the Atrium Room.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Savoy will be speaking at Keene State on Wednesday, March 22 at 7pm. If you're interested in inviting Prof. Savoy to your class, please let us know.

All these events are free and open to the public. Copies of Trace will be available at the Friday reading discussions. More information about the book is available here: http://www.lauretsavoy.com/books/trace/
