Holloway Prize Information Session and Student Matching Event

The Whittemore School of Business and Economics will host the 25th Annual Holloway Prize Innovation-to-Market Championship Round on May 8, 2013 on the UNH campus in Holloway Commons' Squamscott Room. 2-Page submissions are being accepted in 3 categories:

The information session is designed to offer students enrolled in non-business programs the opportunity to recruit a business student to help them develop their business plan from a financial and marketing perspective. It can also provide business students with the opportunity to recruit engineering or other students to help them develop their product/service concept.

The session begins with a review of the competition rules, commitments, objectives, recommendations for success, and a discussion of the criteria judges will evaluate. Later, teams looking for partners will have the opportunity to make a 3-minute presentation of their product/technology or concept. Students will then have an opportunity to meet and recruit prospective partners.

Please register to attend this information session.

Students unable to find partners at this session can use the online matching form.

Holloway Prize Innovation-to-Market Competition

The Whittemore School Holloway Prize Innovation-to-Market Competition is designed to stimulate entrepreneurship throughout New Hampshire. Open to all graduate and undergraduate students at the University System of New Hampshire - including UNH-Durham, UNH-Manchester, UNH School of Law, Keene State College, and Plymouth State University - who have a plan for bringing an innovative product or service to market, the competition helps students gain first-hand experience in commercializing new products and services, and provides access to faculty advisors and industry experts.

Established to honor New Hampshire entrepreneur Paul J. Holloway's achievements and contributions to the University and to the regional economy, the competition stimulates, recognizes, and rewards the entrepreneurial spirit manifested in Mr. Holloway's career. Now in its 25th year, the competition has become an integral part of the student experience at UNH. The rigor of the competition maximizes educational value, prepares students for the realities of the business world, and helps to generate new business opportunities.
