KSC Chamber Singers

The Keene State College Department of Music is delighted to present an upcoming performance by the KSC Chamber Singers entitled “Songs of the Earth, Spirit, and Soul” on Sunday, December 1, 2012. A pre-concert lecture panel will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by a performance at 3:00 p.m. in Redfern Art Center’s Alumni Recital Hall. The Chamber Singers are conducted by Dr. Sandra Howard and are joined by collaborative pianist Cheryl Sharrock.

During the Fall 2012 semester, the Chamber Singers are partnering with the Monadnock Conservancy to learn about its mission, volunteer on conservation land, and prepare concert repertoire centered on the themes of conservation and preservation. The concert will feature a world premiere performance of Max Vladimiroff’s “Let Them Be Left”, the winning selection from the 2012 KSC Call for Scores. The pre-concert lecture panel will be moderated by Dr. Heather Gilligan who will be joined by the Monadnock Conservancy’s Executive Director, Ryan Owens and composer Max Vladimiroff, the winner of the KSC 2012 Call for Scores.

20% of all concert proceeds will be donated to the Monadnock Conservancy. Tickets for this event are $10 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, which may be purchased at the Redfern Ticket Office: 603.358.2168 or www.keene.edu/racbp.
