The Tempest

"The Tempest" by William Shakespeare, directed by PeggyRae Johnson, runs Wednesday to Saturday, February 27 to March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Redfern's Main Theatre.
The play follows Prospero, Duke of Milan, who absorbed in studies of magic, is ousted by his brother Antonio and lands with his lovely daughter Miranda on a deserted island. After years pass, a tempest brings his enemies of Milan near, and Prospero uses his magical arts to cause them to shipwreck on his shore where he can deal with their treachery. This comedy/romance ensues with jesters and liquor, love and marriage, conspiracy, revenge, and reconciliation. See this year's KSC Keene is Reading selection performed on stage.
