Weatherproofing Your Course

Huntress 012
Friday, · -

Winter snow in NH is inevitable but a cancelled class doesn’t mean learning needs to stop. In this workshop we will explore strategies and tools that you can employ to help ensure that your students continue to make progress toward course objectives even if you are not able to meet face-to-face due to weather-related or other disruption. We will present a range of tools, from Canvas announcements and discussions to synchronous web conferencing, that you and your students can use to communicate, share and access materials, and complete assignments or other activities, and we will discuss ways to plan and design your course to be resilient in the face of potential disruptions and plan just-in-case activities or assignments to have ready in case an unforeseen event forces a class cancellation.
