Physics Seminar: Citizen Science – Making Research Accessible

For centuries, science was practiced by people who didn’t consider science their profession, but rather a hobby. Nowadays, we have the technology and networking capability to make cutting edge research available to anyone who wants to get involved. I will talk a bit about planetary science research done by the citizen scientists of CosmoQuest, as well as our studies of the motivations of citizen scientists.
