Telescope Observing
The Physics department invites you to come out and observe the stars, nebulas, planets, the moon and much more through our optical telescopes. Department faculty will point out interesting objects seen in the telescope and through the naked eye and answer any questions you might have about the sky and Astronomy in general: all are welcome. Be sure to bring your smartphones and capture your own image on it directly through the telescope! Tonight we will be observing a solar eclipse (when the Earth's shadow falls on the moon) and other objects on Appian way between the Science Center and the Media Arts Center. A recorded message at 603 358 2787 the day of the session will let you know of any last minute changes, cancellation due to weather and/or an alternative date.
To request accommodations for a disability, please contact the coordinator at least two weeks prior to the event.
