Concert Band performs in concert twice a semester in the Main Theatre.

The Keene State College Concert Band Concert, “Scenes, Solos, and Sounds”, will be presented in the Redfern Arts Center on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the Main Theatre. Conducted by Dr. Jim Chesebrough, this concert will feature a solo performance of Astor Piazzolla’s Oblivion by KSC faculty member and saxophonist Craig Sylvern. It will also feature two members of the KSC senior class, Devon Larrabee performing the first movement of Ney Rosauro’s Concerto for Marimba and Sam Irving playing Alexander Guilmant’s trombone classic, Morceau Symphonique. Sharing the podium with music director James Chesebrough will be assistant conductors Hannah Benoit and Danielle St. Amand. Noisy Wheels of Joy bt Eric Whitacre and Perthshire Majesty by Samuel Hazo will be performed. Tickets are $5/$10.

This event is part of the RAC Music Department calendar and is open to the public.
