Student Chamber Ensembles II
On Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 PM, the KSC Flute Ensemble, KSC String Ensemble, and The Currants contemporary ensemble will be featured in performance. The Flute Ensemble, directed by Professor Robin Matathias, will perform works by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Jonathan Cohen, and Vermont-based Derrick Jordan. Mr. Jordan will be in the audience for the world premiere of his newest work, Baka Bachianis. The String Ensemble, directed by Professor Marcia Lehninger, will perform works by INSERT. The Currents, Keene State’s contemporary music ensemble, is directed by Professor Christopher Swist and will perform works by Terry Riley, Jimi Hendrix (arr., Professor Andrew Smith), George Crumb, Astor Piazzola, and Robert Muzynski.
