Concert Band
Keene, NH 10/16/15 – The Keene State College Concert Band Concert, “International Interface: A World-Wide Musical Network”, will be presented in the Redfern Arts Center on Thursday November 5, 2015 at 7:30 PM in the Main Theatre. Tickets are $5/$10. Conducted by Dr. Jim Chesebrough, this concert will feature music from central Europe, east Asia, North America, and Australia. Even outer space is included with the world premiere of Christopher Swist’s From the Rocks to the Stars. Assistant conductor, Sam Irvine, will lead the ensemble in Ode to R. S. composed by Chang-Su-Koh to commemorate Robert Schumann’s 200th anniversary in 2010. Also on the program will be the an homage to Russian-born maestro Mstislav Rostropovich composed by Leonard Bernstein.
