Brian Ulrich, Round Table Conversation about Publishing
Artist Brian Ulrich will give a casual round table talk in the Mason Library about his three books that we own in the Mason Library permanent collection. He will discuss the books as well as the experience of working with major publishing houses.
Brian Ulrich is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Virginia Commonwealth University and was the recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship in 2009. His work has been exhibited and reviewed internationally and his recent solo exhibitions include: the Haggerty Museum in Milwaukee, the North Carolina Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art. His work has been written about and featured in numerous publications including: Art Forum, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, NY Times Magazine, Art In America and the New Yorker. Some of the institutions that have collected Mr. Ulrich’s work include: the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
