Music Faculty Halloween Recital

The Keene State College Music Department invites to you join us for a festive Halloween Faculty Recital on October 27th, 3:00 PM, in the Alumni Recital Hall, Redfern Arts Center on Brickyard Pond. The concert is free for audience members who attend in costume!

Performers include soprano Diane Cushing and guest pianist Virginia Eskin, who will present works by Chopin (Always Chasing Cobwebs), Amy Beach, Liszt, Leoni and a Painless Opera: arrangements of excerpts by Mozart, Puccini, Rossini, Bizet and Verdi. Ms. Eskin will also join Department Chair Jose Lezcano for Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Fantasia for guitar and piano. Organist Scott White will perform Three Liturgial Dances by Nelhyhel and then join Joy Flemming in two works for bassoon and piano, Stravinsky’s Berceuse and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Paul Dukas. Tim Rogers will present three solo works for piano by Rachmaninoff, Chavez and Kabalevsky and new voice faculty member Dan Carberg will sing Angel Eyes, Devil May Care, and ‘Round Midnight, by Thelonius Monk. We hope you’ll join us for a special afternoon of terrific music!

Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for KSC students, senior citizens, and youth ages 17 and under, or free for anyone who attends in costume! Tickets will be available at the door, or call the box office at 603-358-2168. Located off Wyman Way, the Redfern Arts Center is accessible to people with disabilities.
