Creating a World of Media

The Media Arts Center (MAC), a dynamic, renovated facility, is the hub of media studies at Keene State. Located at the heart of the campus, the newly created center houses the departments of journalism, film studies, communication, and graphic design. These programs share state-of-the-art technology, broadcast facilities, and studios.

Students at the MAC edit film and video, broadcast local news, design promotional materials, and take classes on everything from the ins and outs of journalistic research to the history of film. The new center allows the students to better understand the connections between their majors, as well as collaborate across disciplines.

To better understand the philosophy driving Keene State's embrace of the Media Arts, watch this short presentation student Julio Del Sesto has created.
