Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service offered by Mason Library to support the research and educational needs of the Keene State College community by providing access to supplemental resources that are not available at Mason Library, Keene Public Library, or in full-text periodical databases subscribed to by the College. Through our participation in OCLC (Online Computer Library Center, a global library cooperative), and the New Hampshire State Library's NHAIS (New Hampshire Automated Information System) we can share our resources and borrow materials from virtually anywhere.

Turn-around time for receipt of most materials is one to two weeks, but some take considerably longer. View the complete Interlibrary Loan Policy Before submitting your request, please search the catalog. We cannot process requests for items held locally.

The interlibrary loan office is on the first floor of Mason Library, room 121A, across from the reference desk.

Our holdings number about 326,000 items and annual publications; subscriptions to more than 900 print periodicals and newspapers and an extensive selection of videos, DVDs, audio books, and music CDs. The Cohen Center for Holocaust Studies,Curriculum Materials Library (CML),Orang Asli Archives, and other collections are located in the library.

Online database providers such as EBSCOhost, JSTOR, ProjectMuse, and Web of Knowledge offer full-text access or indexing to an additional 21,000 resources , which include journals, magazines, and newspapers. Off-campus access to these services is provided to patrons with a library-validated KSC student or faculty ID. The library provides electronic access, including interlibrary loan services, to the holdings of more than 41,000 libraries worldwide through an international library network.

The physical holdings of Mason Library and the Keene Public Library are listed in an online catalog called Keene-Link. Simply type in the title, keyword, subject, or author to find out if we have what you need. If we do not have it, and we do not provide access to it through our databases, you may borrow it through interlibrary loan.

The library building is wired and wireless, providing access to the College network throughout the building, with 36 wireless laptop computers for use in the library by students. Mission
It is the mission of The Curriculum Materials Library (CML) to provide pre-kindergarten to grade 12 materials to use and preview within classroom settings to the following populations throughout New Hampshire:

• Keene State College students, faculty, and alumni
• Vocational-technical educators
• School administrators
• Career and guidance counselors
• Special educators
• Title 9 coordinators
• Teachers in the alternative certification programs

In addition, the CML serves the New Hampshire Technical Colleges.

Secondarily, the CML makes its collections available to any New Hampshire educator, including school social workers, school psychologists, and those who home-school; and to members of the Keene Public Library.

The Curriculum Materials Library (CML), located on the second floor of Mason Library, supports KSC education faculty and students, particularly methods students and student teachers. CML's collection emphasizes pre-K to grade 12 geography, language arts, mathematics, reading, science, social studies, and school counseling teaching materials. The emphasis is on practical materials presenting teaching methods and activities.

The collection comprises approximately 16,500 items. These include books, videos, textbook sets, curriculum models, math and science manipulatives, pattern blocks, simple machines, educational games, and puppets. The CML also has two special collections: The Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) Collection and The Safe Schools Collection.

The collection is in open stacks and you are welcome to visit and use the materials during other hours when the Mason Library is open. The Library has curtailed hours when classes are not in session.
