Biographical Sketch:
Georgess McHargue is the author of over 25 books for children and
adults and has been a Nominee for the National Book Award and a Past
Fellow of the McDowell Colony in Peterborough, NH. She is also
co-founder, past President, and current Treasurer of Timelines, Inc.,
a cultural resources management firm, and has written numerous
archaeological publications for general audiences.
Scope and Content Note:
The collection documents Georgess McHargue's authorship and the
editorial work on a book for children, Stoneflight. The collection
includes a typed manuscript with corrections along with a marked set
of galley proofs. Drawings by Arvis Stewart are not included.
Georgess McHargue was a presenter at the Children's Literature
Festival at Keene State College..
